The first STACY Symposium was held in Kobe, Japan in December 2022

The First STACY Symposium was held in December 2022 at the Kobe International Conference Center in Japan hosted by Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU). Project partners and members of the Industrial Advisory Board provided lectures and networked across other projects also working in the field of LH2 safety. The Symposium included a Young Generation Seminar with participation of students involved in the project and those from KGU.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd also provided a technical tour of their LH2 facilities. This tour included viewing the liquefied hydrogen receiving terminal of Suisio Frontier, which is the world’s first liquefied hydrogen carrier, as well as a hydrogen co-generated system, which is the world’s first delivery of energy and heat in an urban area that is generated via a 100% hydrogen gas fueled turbine. On the final day, a tour of the large synchrotron radiation facility “SPring-8” concluded the event.
